Allowing Third-Party Cookies

Within Blackboard Learn, some external tools (such as SafeAssign) require your internet browser to allow third-party cookies. To unblock or allow third-party cookies for your browser, follow the steps below for the browser you are using.

Google Chrome

  1. Click the Chrome Settings button (Customize settings) in the upper-right corner of the browser, and then click Settings. The Settings page will open in a new tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page, and click Show advanced settings.
  3. Under the Privacy section, click Content settings.
  4. Deselect the check box Block third-party cookies and site data.
  5. Click Done.
  6. When finished, you can close the tab.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click the menu button and then click Options. The Options page will open in a new tab.
  2. Click Privacy in the left panel.
  3. In the drop-down menu for Firefox will, choose Use custom settings for history.
  4. Select the check box for Accept cookies from sites.
  5. In the drop-down menu for Accept third-party cookies, choose Always.
  6. When finished, you can close the tab.

Internet Explorer

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the browser, and then click Internet options.
  2. Click the tab Privacy.
  3. Press the Advanced button.
  4. Select the check box for Override automatic cookie handling.
  5. Under Third-party cookies, select Accept.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.

Safari

  1. Go to Safari Preferences (⌘ ,).
  2. Click the panel Privacy.
  3. In Block cookies, select the option Never.
  4. Close the Preferences window.
