The above video shows how to hide individual items from students. This method works great when you are not quite ready for students to view an individual item or two.
However, there may be times when you aren’t quite ready for students to view an entire content area. Perhaps you are still building your course and organizing items by chapters, units, or modules. To help with this, you can temporarily hide the entire content area. Most of the time this content area is called the Online Classroom, but it’s possible the content area you need to temporarily hide is titled something else.
The video below shows how to hide an entire content area so that students do not have access until you are ready.
NOTE:
Whether you hide an entire content area like the Online Classroom or individual items, when you are ready for students to have access you MUST remember to make those areas/items accessible again.
