  1. If your course will belong to a course group, set up the template.
  2. From your D2L Brightspace course, add the Access Pearson link as an external learning tool or widget:
    • External learning tool: Select Content and then Add a module. Enter a module name. Next, select External Learning Tools or Add Existing. Then select the Access Pearson tool.
    • Widget: Select the Options (three-dot) menu and then Manage Homepages. Select Widgets / System Widgets. Select Access Pearson and then Add Widgets. Select the Access Pearson widget.

    Using a bookstore and not Access Pearson? For Barnes & Noble, Follett-Willo, RedShelf, or VitalSource, select the bookstore link to enable Access Pearson Codeless. Then skip to step 4.

  3. Select Access Pearson in the left navigation.
  4. Select Open Pearson and choose MyLab and Mastering for the product.
  5. Link your accounts and courses.
  6. Open your MyLab or Mastering course to turn on any grade settings and create assignments.
  7. From the Pearson dashboard, select Grade sync. Then select whether to sync grades automatically and choose any specific assignments to sync.
  8. Select Sync now to create assignment links and to initially populate the D2L Brightspace gradebook.
