Viewing Job Output in Banner - 2026 Release

Summary

Viewing job output from Banner will change when the September 2026 Banner releases are installed in Banner production on October 9th, 20026.

Body

After running a job, clicking on RELATED > Review Output [GJIREVO], which will open the output within the Banner Admin page GJIREVO as before.

However, now when you click on TOOLS > Show Document (Save and Print File)

It will give you the option to save the file.  Click the Save File button

You will receive a notice that the file was saved to your browser’s default download location.  This is most likely the Download folder on your computer.  You may also see a pop-up from your browser indicating that the file was saved.  After the file is saved, you can click OK on the information message and then click Close on the General WebUtil File Extract pop-up.

To view the file, navigate to the folder where the output file was downloaded onto your computer.  There are several ways to accomplish this.  One way is to click on the Download icon in the browser then click on the folder icon beside the file.

This will open the File Explorer to the Downloads folder.

Right-click on the output file and select “Open with” from the pop-up then select Notepad

The file will open in Notepad
