To exclude specific courses from your notifications in Brightspace, follow these quick steps:
- Log in to your Brightspace platform.
- Click on your profile icon or name in the top-right corner of the page.
- Select Notifications from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to find the Courses section.
- Click on the Manage my course exclusions link.
- In the pop-up window that appears, find the course you want to mute and click the "X" icon next to it. (Alternatively, if you want to mute almost everything, you can click "Exclude All Courses" and then manually re-enable just the ones you need).
- Click Save at the bottom of the main page to finalize your changes.
Note: This will completely stop external notifications (like emails or text alerts) for that specific course. However, system-generated alerts inside Brightspace itself (the bell icon in the top minibar) cannot be turned off and will still display course updates
