Issue Description
Perceptive Content fails to launch, freezes during startup, or does not proceed to the login screen.
Symptoms
- Application does not open
- Hangs on startup screen
- Login screen does not appear
- Process appears briefly in Task Manager then stops responding
Resolution Steps
Step 1: Open Task Manager as Administrator
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc
- Click More details if needed
- File > Run new task
- Type taskmgr
- Check “Create this task with administrative privileges”
Step 2: End Processes
End the following:
- Perceptive Content Full Client
- PerceptiveSoftware.PED.Client
Step 3: Relaunch Application
- Open Perceptive Content
- Allow full load
Step 4: Verify
- Confirm login screen appears
- Confirm user can sign in
If Issue Persists
- Restart workstation and retry
- Check network connectivity
- Check Windows updates
- Escalate to Data Center Team
